According to Zhuangzi, knowledge is subjective and shaped by our current perceptions of reality. This implies we can never be entirely certain that our beliefs reflect reality. Our understanding hinges on our point of view. He illustrates this with a dream where he was a butterfly; while dreaming, his awareness was limited to that of a butterfly.
