How does McKinley allude to the Monroe Doctrine to build support for the invasion of Cuba in the first paragraph? (5pts)

The Monroe Doctrine originated in the United States in 1832, aimed at combating European colonization in the Americas. The US stated that while it would not interfere with established colonies, it would view any new European actions (such as invasion or annexation) in the Americas as a violation against the US.

President McKinley opted for US involvement in the conflict between Spain and Cuba, where Cuba was seeking independence. His decision ultimately led to the naming of the conflict as the Spanish-American War, as the US took Cuba's side against Spain to eliminate this form of colonialism by Europe.

Initially, the US remained neutral, but sensational news reports highlighted the atrocities committed by the Spanish against Cuban civilians. This incited public support for intervention in the US. Ultimately, the incident involving the Maine, a US ship in Havana which exploded and was blamed on the Spanish, was deemed a direct provocation and led to the deployment of US troops to Cuba. The Monroe Doctrine justified interventions when there was a direct offense against the US.

How did the development of the Beer and Whiskey League reflect the ethnic tension between "Nativists" and immigrants in the mid
marta [1577]
The Beer and Whiskey League, known as the American Association (1882-1891), was formed to rival the National League, perceived as constrained. During the late 1800s, baseball was emerging as a significant national pastime, becoming a political topic regarding its cultural implications. The conflict represented differing values between nativist Americans and immigrants. While the National League's nativists opposed the sale of alcohol and Sunday games, many immigrants, particularly Germans and Eastern Europeans, cherished these elements as integral parts of baseball culture. This led to brewers and distillers from cities with considerable immigrant populations establishing the American Association, reflecting how nativists and immigrants clashed over their cultural views on baseball. The stereotype linking immigrants to alcohol would persist and be weaponized by racist nativists against these communities for many years.

Capitalism has led many countries to an improved ______of______, and______ coverage broadcasts information about the wealth capi
katrin2010 [1707]
Here’s how to complete those blanks:
Capitalism has significantly improved the standard of living, and media coverage communicates the wealth that capitalism can create. This, alongside the collapse of the Soviet Union, has motivated nations to strive for the challenging shift to capitalism.

Essentially, the success record of the capitalist model is more favorable and receives better media attention. However, that does not imply that capitalism is without issues or negative aspects; all economic systems face their own challenges, and capitalist frameworks often exhibit abuses and inequalities. Yet, it retains a more favorable image compared to other models.

While this question fits better in a Filipino section, I can provide an answer. Based on the inquiry and additional research, the term "palaka" in Filipino translates to "frog" in English. I hope this suffices, and don't hesitate to ask if you want more information or clarifications.
