There are two principal approaches to planting crops: direct seeding and transplanting. Direct seeding can be done by broadcasting, hill or dibble planting, or by drilling; the hill and drill techniques are alternatives for row planting. Direct seeding, or direct sowing, means putting seeds straight into the field or another growth medium, while transplanting uses seedlings, pre-grown plants, or vegetatively propagated material. Transplanting can also mean moving an established plant from one spot to another. Direct seeding is typically used for large-seeded vegetables as well as cereals and grain legumes. Transplanting is commonly applied to small-seeded vegetables, vegetatively propagated crops, ornamentals, fruit trees, and many perennials. The phrase direct seeding can also refer to placing seedpieces or underground vegetative planting material directly into the soil. Broadcast, Hill, and Drill Methods of Planting Distinguished Broadcasting, or sabog tanim (scatter planting), is usually used for small seeds such as rice and mungbean that can germinate and grow without being covered by soil. This method does not control spacing between plants. Seeds are spread over a well-prepared seedbed by hand or with a mechanical broadcaster. With hand broadcasting, seeds are held in the hand and cast over a wide area. Skill is required to achieve an even seed distribution per unit area consistent with the intended seeding rate per hectare. For instance, a seeding rate of 100 kg per hectare requires distributing on average 0.01 kg or 10 g per square meter. If the crop is rice with a 1000-grain weight of 29 grams, this corresponds to about 345 seeds per square meter. Planting too densely means the available seeds will be used up before the entire field is covered, requiring more seed. Planting too sparsely results in finishing the field while still having seeds left over.

A) Why does NASA publish a different Star Finder every month? (1 point)
Natalka [282]

Answer:

The positions of the stars and constellations shift each month.

Explanation:

It's important to note that the Earth is in constant motion as it orbits the sun; as a result, certain stars that were previously visible from some locations on Earth may no longer be seen later.

This is why NASA releases a new Star Finder each month to track the movements and changing placements of stars and constellations.

Analyze three cultural practices of the Inuit that have been influenced by their environment. How can environments shape culture
Mkey [283]
The theory of subcultural deviance aligns closely with normative ethics, which examines how individuals behave or are expected to behave. Within subcultural deviance, the ethical standpoint is based on non-utilitarian principles. In this framework, a collective adheres to the values and norms of their group, while differing from others in society. A person is labeled as deviant when they stray from the established norms of the broader social community.

In the caribbean , water temperatures typically range from 24 c to 30 c what do you think might happen if the temperatures rise
gogolik [350]
We will experience considerably worse weather patterns and hurricanes as a result. This is due to warmer oceans facilitating faster evaporation, leading to the sea generating more intense storms. Additionally, there will be coral bleaching, hindering their growth and resulting in death.
