The critical attributes of being a leader include education and knowledge, goal setting, communication, and self-confidence. Understanding the necessary skills to be an effective leader highlights the importance of education and knowledge. Goal setting is crucial since it conveys your ambitions and what you aim to achieve as a leader. Communication is essential for engaging with those you lead, allowing you to listen and express your ideas. Lastly, self-confidence is vital; without it, leadership appears weak, leading people to doubt your decision-making abilities. President Roosevelt exemplified these qualities by using his knowledge to communicate effectively with the public, setting clear goals, and maintaining unwavering confidence, which inspired others to follow him regardless of their attention to his messages.

Here’s what I wrote for my essay, and I received a good grade on it. Education and knowledge are important because you need to be aware of issues affecting your country. If Roosevelt had been uninformed, it would have raised doubts about his decisions concerning U.S. matters. Setting goals is essential; without goals, there’s no compelling reason for the public to elect you as president. If you stated that you lacked goals, your chances of being elected would diminish greatly. Confidence is necessary to prevent being easily swayed or having your mind changed frequently. You must stand firm in your actions and own your mistakes. Without confidence, anyone could influence your decisions, effectively undermining your ability to lead.

Why don’t DEA agents shut down the Harborside Health Center in Oakland, CA?
mr_godi [1511]
On June 7th, Attorney General Eric Holder informed Congress that he would only take action against dispensaries violating state law. In essence, a dispensary had to be found in actual violation for it to be raided. In Haag’s statement, she acknowledges that this isn't the situation with Harborside; she simply believes that due to its size and the volume of patients, a violation is somewhat unavoidable.
