Dear Diary, 7/23/2020

This Thursday evening was lovely; we had a fantastic dinner, and then we enjoyed an incredible movie! By around 9:00 p.m., we retired for the night. I drifted into a wonderful dream when I was suddenly awakened by footsteps. Curious, I exited my room, only to hear a pot crash to the floor. It left me feeling terrified! I was bewildered and wondered who could be causing this commotion! I turned on the light, and later discovered that my parents had also awakened. Together, we ventured downstairs and were met with a shocking sight. Pots were smashed, glass was everywhere, and chaos reigned! It became clear that someone had unlawfully entered our home! We began searching for the intruder, but after half an hour, we still hadn’t succeeded. Just then, I spotted some shoes hidden behind a curtain—the intruder was caught! Ultimately, he was taken into custody by the police.

Hope this helped!

Flura [7041]

Answer:

assess and analyze the implications

Explanation:

"Is Kimi going to accept her friend's drug use invitation?"

This inquiry can be answered with a simple yes or no, yet the process of making that decision is more complex.

Kimi is aware of the dilemma and has no alternative choices aside from yes or no. Her friend's choices do not impact her evaluation because the focus is on her health, not her friend's. Ultimately, Kimi needs to comprehend the health consequences of agreeing to participate. Is it a wise choice?

In his short autobiographical essay, Sorrentino says, "Much like other writers, I have won some literary awards." This statement
hammer [7621]
The statement is an understatement since he claims he "does not write all that much." This kind of understatement in his brief autobiographical essay reflects a tone similar to that found in "There's a Man in the Habit of Hitting Me on the Head with an Umbrella."

An understatement serves as a literary device where authors portray an occurrence as less significant than it truly is.

seraphim [7410]

C. The details about sugar consumption over time are provided by the authors to engage readers with surprising statistics.

Upon reviewing the excerpt, it is clear that no arguments are being made or defended. Consequently, we can conclude that this section does not aim to persuade. While information about dietary changes is presented, it serves to support the statistics. The alarming nature of the statistics appears to be primarily for shock value or purely for entertainment.
