seraphim [7022]

Answer:

C.

Explanation:

Negative Reinforcement is the term coined by B. F. Skinner in his concept known as Operant Conditioning. This learning theory incorporates both rewards and punishments.

In Operant Conditioning, negative reinforcement is described as an action that aims to avoid negative results or unpleasant stimuli. Aversive stimuli refer to triggers that an individual generally wants to sidestep or escape from. Simply put, negative reinforcement can be understood as a behavior that, although unpleasant, is reduced to achieve a positive outcome.

In the given situation, negative reinforcement occurs because Mark is attempting to change the habit of waking up late to evade his mother's yelling, which he finds unpleasant. Therefore, Mark is working to eliminate this undesirable behavior to achieve a constructive result: his mother might stop scolding him.

Therefore, the correct choice is C.

if you were king acrisius would you do the same thing just to escape from his dreadful faith. why or why not?
Leya [7400]

In my view, I would not take the same actions as King Acrisius did.

Explanation:

From the narrative, it is clear that Apollo's prophecy was unavoidable. It could only be avoided if Danae were killed before giving birth. Acrisius could not murder his daughter due to his fear of divine retribution. He tried his best to keep both Danae and her son, Perseus, away from him. Ultimately, he met his end at the hands of Perseus, just as the oracle had foretold.

Thus, if I were in Acrisius's position, I would have chosen a different course rather than trying to escape his grim destiny. I would have kept Danae and Perseus close, providing them with love and care as a father and grandfather for as long as I could.

Concerns about the influence of Western culture on younger generations.

Response concerning the article "Western influence on youth today"

Dear Editor,

As I engaged with the article analyzing how Western culture impacts our society, particularly the youth, I recognized various detrimental effects.

The significant uptake of Western cultural elements by our younger population raises alarms about the potential neglect and loss of our own traditions and customs. To address this, I propose we present our culture in captivating ways that appeal to young individuals, primarily through creative articles and performances that illustrate the importance of our heritage while also teaching youth to respect and appreciate cultures from elsewhere without forsaking our own.
