Organelles are unique to eukaryotic cells and are not present in the cells of prokaryotes like bacteria. Examples of organelles include the nucleus, mitochondrion, chloroplast, Golgi apparatus, lysosome, and endoplasmic reticulum. Vital organs in humans include five essential organs necessary for survival, specifically the brain, heart, kidneys, liver, and lungs. The human brain functions as the body's control center by transmitting and receiving signals to other organs through the nervous system and via hormones that are released.
