Read the excerpt from The Hot Zone. There she met Lieutenant Colonel Trotter, a stocky, dark-haired man whom Nancy had worked wi

th for many years. They put on their inner gloves and taped their cuffs. Nancy put a pair of hearing protectors over her ears. She had started wearing them a while back, when people had begun to suspect that the roar of air in your suit might be loud enough to damage your hearing. They hauled on their space suits and sealed the Ziploc zippers. They edged around each other as they fiddled with their suits. People wearing biohazard space suits tend to step around one another like two wrestlers at the beginning of a match, watching the other person's every move, especially watching the hands to make sure they don't hold a sharp object. This cringing becomes instinctive. Which best states the central idea of this excerpt?

Which elements make Walden a memoir? Check the four boxes that best apply.
seraphim [7410]
The elements that define "Walden" as a memoir are: - It is narrated from a first-person perspective. - It centers around a significant personal experience. - It offers insights into the life of the author. Explanation: Henry David Thoreau's "Walden" qualifies as a memoir because it recounts his intimate experience of living in proximity to nature and adopting a simple life within the cabin he constructed, along with his contemplations regarding that journey. It is presented from his unique perspective and is written in the first person. Other options do not align with the characteristics of a memoir, since time span alone does not inherently classify a text as a memoir (as novels or short stories might also cover a brief duration), containing merely transcendental themes does not categorize it as memoir literature (as other genres can encompass similar themes), and highlighting nature study doesn't imply a personal narrative (as descriptive texts can do).

In this sonnet, the speaker describes a powerful love for someone with no personal merits. Which lines describe this puzzling ab
hammer [7621]

The verses that illustrate this bewildering skill in the speaker's beloved to manipulate his reasoning abilities are “Whence hast thou this becoming of things ill,/That in the very refuse of thy deeds/There is such strength and warrantise of skill,/That, in my mind, thy worst all best exceeds?”

<span>In Shakespeare’s 150th sonnet, this strange capability is characterized as the talent to transform negative attributes into positive ones in her and to execute the most trivial actions with such finesse that the speaker is convinced that her lowest is superior to anyone else’s highest.</span>

Write a letter to your friend describing how you saved a child who was in danger<br><br><br><br>
Leya [7781]

Answer:

12 Aventon Street,

Birmingham.

September 15, 2020.

Dear Liam, hope you're doing well.

You won't believe it, but yesterday I turned into Superman for three minutes as I intervened to save a child from an armed assailant.

No jokes here; this was a serious situation. Despite my skinny frame, a surge of adrenaline kicked in, urging me to act and protect that young boy.

While heading home around six o'clock, I witnessed a dispute between a teenager and an older boy. I intended to stay out of it, when suddenly the older boy brandished a knife!

I reacted instinctively, which I'm grateful for because it likely saved the child’s life. After a struggle, I managed to overpower him, and with help from bystanders, we restrained him until the authorities arrived.

Forget my brief moment of heroism; I hope you’re having a great time over there.

Enjoy your weekend!

YOURS FAITHFULLY,

Aaron Connolly.

Gawk gawk 3000 is what ash kash did and AHHHHHHHHH
hammer [7621]

Response: I can attest this is indeed accurate.

Clarification:

Ash Kaash not only performed the "gawk gawk 3000," but also continued until he was satisfied. Typically, men complete the act using their own hands, but Ash Kaash was skilled enough to do so with her mouth.

Why does Dickinson set the poem “Dying” in an ordinary bedroom, which isn’t even described? What might be her purpose in choosin
Naddik [7538]
I believe the setting of a death should be a bedroom, as that is a place where a person suffering from an illness would typically be, especially in palliative care. The quietness of the bedroom is only interrupted by a fly, whose buzzing perhaps highlights the otherwise tranquil atmosphere. If the death were to occur outside or in a public venue, it would likely stem from an incident or an assassination, like that of Martin Luther King. Thus, a death occurring in a bedroom suggests a natural end due to sickness or old age.
