A rhyme scheme establishes a consistent arrangement of similar sounds and rhythms. The concluding letters of lines should match accordingly. This pattern is evident in option C, where we notice the words "wood", "good", and "mood", which adhere to the same scheme. Moreover, the vowel sound "o" linking these words adds a lyrical touch, for instance, in the phrase "oh so good".

In a well-constructed response, explain how Carrie Chapman Catt, the author of “Address to Congress on Women’s Suffrage,” demons
Flura [2577]

Answer:

organizing her address into three key sections that emphasize the importance of women's suffrage.

Explanation:

In her "Address to Congress on Women’s Suffrage", Carrie Chapman Catt effectively employs the rhetorical concept of kairos by structuring her speech into three main divisions that stress the necessity for women's voting rights. This is evident right at the beginning when she states, "Three distinct causes made it inevitable."

Understanding kairos as utilizing timing and appropriateness in speech or writing, Carrie ensures her address contains a thorough explanation of each aim. She ultimately concludes by urging listeners and stakeholders about their role in effecting change.

Catt capitalizes on the concept of kairos to engage directly with legislators by questioning whether they will support or obstruct women's suffrage. This is highlighted in her closing remarks: "Woman suffrage is coming -- you know it. Will you, Honorable Senators and Members of the House of Representatives, help or hinder it?"

Write a letter to your friend describing how you saved a child who was in danger

Leya [2820]

Answer:

12 Aventon Street,

Birmingham.

September 15, 2020.

Dear Liam, hope you're doing well.

You won't believe it, but yesterday I turned into Superman for three minutes as I intervened to save a child from an armed assailant.

No jokes here; this was a serious situation. Despite my skinny frame, a surge of adrenaline kicked in, urging me to act and protect that young boy.

While heading home around six o'clock, I witnessed a dispute between a teenager and an older boy. I intended to stay out of it, when suddenly the older boy brandished a knife!

I reacted instinctively, which I'm grateful for because it likely saved the child’s life. After a struggle, I managed to overpower him, and with help from bystanders, we restrained him until the authorities arrived.

Forget my brief moment of heroism; I hope you’re having a great time over there.

Enjoy your weekend!

YOURS FAITHFULLY,

Aaron Connolly.

Examine the usage of the words bequeath and posterity in this excerpt from Thomas Paine's Common Sense. Then complete the senten
Leya [2820]
1. Given options A. the ideals of freedom and individualism, B. the present constitution, C. nothing that will endure, D. a legacy of conflict and divisiveness, the accurate choice is C. nothing that will endure. From this passage alone, Paine considers the government to be "not sufficiently lasting," which means it is transitory and requires change. Additionally, "to bequeath" means to pass something down to future generations or heirs.

2. Looking at options A. of a gentleman prevents him from mingling with common people, B. any nation can blame its ancestors for their hardships, C. any individual's opinion can justify authority over another, D. any government can be easily harmed by false rumors, the correct answer is B. any nation has the right to blame their predecessors for their suffering. Posterity refers to future generations—children, grandchildren—everyone who will live in the world shaped by today's actions. Paine implies that actions taken now will be responsible for the happiness or suffering of posterity, thus they may blame prior generations for their plight.
