In the case of an ideal transformer, power loss is regarded as nonexistent

meaning that the power in the primary coil resulting from the input voltage must equal the power in the secondary coil resulting from the output voltage

This relationship can be expressed as an equation

V_1 i_1 = V_2 i_2

Here, we know that

V_2 = 140 volts

i_2 = 3.5 A

i_1 = 10 A{/tex]now we will use above equation[tex]140*3.5 = 10 * V_1

V_1 = 49 volts

Thus, the voltage across the primary coil is 49 Volts

Dee is on a swing in the playground. the chains are 2.5 m long, and the tension in each chain is 450 n when dee is 55 cm above t
kicyunya [3171]
Referencing the diagram below, we can deduce from the geometry that x = 2.5 - 0.55 = 1.95 m, leading to cos θ = 1.95/2.5 = 0.78. Therefore, θ = cos⁻¹ 0.78 = 38.74°. According to the free body diagram, the tension in the chain measures 450 N. Here, F denotes the centripetal force and W signifies Dee's weight. The tension's components are as follows: Horizontal component = 450 sin(38.74°) = 281.6 N, directed to the left, and Vertical component = 450 cos(38.74°) = 351.0 N, directed upward. Answers: Horizontal: 281.6, directed left. Vertical: 351.0 N, directed upward.

A small crack occurs at the base of a 15.0-m-high dam. The effective area through which water leaves is 2.30 × 10-3 m2. (a) Igno
Ostrovityanka [3092]

Answer

Given data:

height of the dam = 15 m

effective area for water flow = 2.3 x 10⁻³ m²

Applying the principle of energy conservation:

m g h = \dfrac{1}{2}mv^2

v= \sqrt{2gh}

v= \sqrt{2\times 9.8 \times 15}

v= \sqrt{294}

v = 17.15 m/s

water discharge

Q = A V

Q = 2.3 x 10⁻³ x 17.15

Q = 0.039 m³/s
